Muhoozi Kainerugaba Steps in to Support Actor Who Played His Father in 27 Guns

First Son and Senior Presidential Advisor Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba has expressed a personal commitment to assist the young man who portrayed his father, President Yoweri Museveni, in the patriotic film 27 Guns. The movie, released in 2018, dramatizes the NRA liberation struggle, with the actor taking on the pivotal role of Museveni during the bush war era.

In a heartfelt public statement, Gen. Muhoozi said he was moved upon learning of the actor’s current struggles and has pledged to step in with support. “This young man brought to life the story of my father in one of the most important films about Uganda’s history. I feel it’s my duty to help him,” Muhoozi noted, without disclosing the specific form of assistance.

The gesture has drawn praise from supporters, who see it as a reflection of gratitude and recognition for those who contribute to preserving Uganda’s historical narrative. The development has also reignited discussions on the welfare of local actors who play significant roles in telling the country’s stories on screen.
