Could Tensions between Greece and Turkey Start a 2nd European war?

Turkey and Greece are at odds over a number of topics, including the militarization of the eastern Aegean islands.

It would be strategically shrewd for the two NATO members to deescalate and enhance relations based on mutual trust and respect in light of Russia’s military buildup across the region.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the president of Turkey, recently threatened to attack Greece in reprisal for what he claimed was unfriendly action against Turkish jets by that country.

Both the Greek army’s harassment of Turkish ships and aircraft as well as Erdogan’s harsh remarks have happened before.
