When Florence Pugh and Zach Braff made their relationship known in 2019, it drew criticism. Prior to directing Florence in his short film In the Time It Takes to Get There, which was released the following April, Zach had been enjoying Florence’s social media posts since August of that year.
She however expressed dissatisfaction that “70% of the comments” had consisted of “hurling hate, being terrible, and basically harassing someone” in her follow-up”. She added, “It is not your place, Furthermore, it truly has nothing to do with you”, Florence responded to the criticism in a July 2021 interview with the Sunday Times.
But it was widely assumed that Florence and Zach had broken up by the beginning of this year. Florence acknowledged in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar that they first kept their breakup a secret to avoid the media attention that had surrounded their romance for the previous three years.
The ex-couple has, however, been able to maintain a strong connection, as evidenced by this arguably flirtatious Instagram exchange.
Zach had announced to his followers on social media that he and his old Scrubs co-star Donald Faison would be available for a 30-minute Zoom conversation, with all money going to Homes for Our Troops.Florence took notice of this and replied , “I’m definitely bidding on this.”
Zach then replied: “@florencepugh I’m certain you could get this for free, but it is a very good cause for veterans….”. This shows the bit of chemistry that remains lingering there between the two.
