Kyagulanyi Sentamu (Bobi Wine) Arrives in Boston, USA to Warm Welcome from Ugandan Diaspora

Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, popularly known as Bobi Wine, touched down in Boston, USA to a vibrant and enthusiastic reception from the Ugandan diaspora community. The opposition leader and musician-turned-politician is on an international engagement tour, aimed at strengthening ties with Ugandans abroad and rallying support for democratic reforms back home.

Upon arrival at Logan International Airport, Kyagulanyi was greeted by a crowd of supporters waving Ugandan flags, singing freedom songs, and donning red berets — the symbol of his National Unity Platform (NUP). His visit comes at a time of heightened political activity in Uganda, and his presence in the U.S. is seen as a continuation of his global advocacy for human rights, justice, and free political space in the country.

While in Boston, Bobi Wine is expected to engage with community leaders, activists, and policymakers, as well as attend public dialogues and fundraising events. His message remains focused on youth empowerment, ending political repression, and building a united front for democratic change in Uganda.

The Boston leg of his U.S. tour marks yet another chapter in Kyagulanyi’s expanding international presence, as he continues to mobilize support from Ugandans in the diaspora and allies across the world.
